Each year the performing arts faculty nominate Performing Artists of Character among the rising senior class. Students chosen for this honor have demonstrated all of the following characteristics to Performing Arts Staff both inside and out of the classroom.

Integrity
Students are consistent in their moral choices as they grow through the performing arts programs, representing LCPA in the highest manner.
Students are clear role models for younger performing artists in the department.
Honesty
Students are honest with directors and teachers throughout their time in the performing arts department.
Maturity and Growth
Students show growth when confronted and redirected by directors, sectional coaches, and peer leaders.
Students show growth in their ability to take direction and work with the necessary mature mindset of successful performing artists.
Accountability
Students are able to be held to the highest standard of time commitment, musical preparation, and volunteer expectations.
Students are willing to volunteer for additional tasks when asked, and even offer themselves and their time without prompting.
